Ranked. On Tuesday, on Mahashivratri, faith arose in Shiv Devalayas across the district. Thousands of devotees from all over the state reached to see the Shivling in the famous tourist destination of Chhattisgarh, Somnath Temple. Devotees stood in line to have darshan after bathing in Shivnath river at 5 am. Some have anointed with Gangajal and some milk and have darshan. Despite the crowd in the temples, the enthusiasm of the devotees for the darshan was building on sight. For the first time, there was a queue of devotees in 3 routes from village Lakhna to Somnath temple to have darshan of Tridev. The devotees reached Somnath Dham, 3 km away on foot by keeping the vehicles in Lakhna. Apart from this, the devotees reached the temple through the forest of Sehgaon, Bemta. Police of three districts were deployed for security arrangements: Special makeup of Lord Shiva was done. From outside the temple to the premises, there was so much crowd that there was no place to even step on the stairs. During this, the devotees kept chanting the hymns of Har Har Mahadev. Two years after the Corona period, such a large number of devotees gathered in the first temples. Due to this people were stuck in the jam for 2 hours. For security arrangements in the fair, three police personnel of Raipur, Balodabazar and Bemetara districts were deployed in large numbers.
Rudrabhishek performed in Sapad Lakheshwardham Saldha
On the holy festival of Mahashivratri, where worship was done by the devotees in Shiva temples from morning till late night. Rudrabhishek was performed by the devotees at Sapad Lakheshwar Dham in village Saldha. The program of Rudrabhishek was done on the directions of Acharya Jyotirmay Anand. The enthusiasm of the devotees was building on this occasion.
The entire program was done in the newly constructed 1.5 lakh Shivling temple complex itself. It should be known that it is a matter of pride not only for the region but for the whole country that a temple of 1.25 lakh Shivling is under construction in this village and all sections of the society are getting cooperation in the construction of the said temple, during this Shiv Baba’s procession. It was taken out which was welcomed by BJP workers under the leadership of former District President BJP Rajendra Sharma at Gasti Chowk. Thanking the organizing committee, Rajendra Sharma said that social, religious harmony is demonstrated in Bemetara by such an event. May this festival of Shivratri bring happiness and prosperity in the lives of people, this is the wish of Bhole Baba. On this occasion, Yuva Morcha District President Parmeshwar Verma, Mandal President Monty Sahu, Dharmaraj Khande, Vivek Dewan, Sanni Thakur, Rajkumar Khande, Taran Rajput, Yugal Devangan, Dharmendra Sahu and other officials and a large number of devotees were present.
Abhishek in pagoda
On the occasion of Mahashivratri on March 1 in the rural areas including Thankhamharia, devotees were thronging the pagodas since morning. The shouts of Harhar Mahadev were heard throughout the day. A grand fair was also organized in the ancient Kuti Dham of the city where people offered special worship to Lord Shiva and wished for happiness and prosperity in the area. Devotees also performed Jalabhishek and Dugdhabhishek in the nearby villages of Rampur, Umraonagar, Karmu, Gourmati, Tipni, Barga, Hatroka, Ghivari, Dahi Mahi etc. Even in homes, Lord Shiva was worshiped with full rituals. The whole area was Shivamaya.
