Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) President and Telangana Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao met his Maharashtra counterpart and Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar separately in Mumbai on Sunday. He discussed various issues of the country with Thackeray and Pawar. During this, he called upon both of them to bring a political change in the country.
Regarding the meeting of the three leaders, Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole said that the efforts of the Telangana Chief Minister to form an anti-BJP front are welcome. Without the Congress such efforts would neither be complete nor successful. She said she welcomes Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s efforts to form an anti-BJP front, but such initiatives by regional parties cannot succeed without the Congress party. Congress is the only option for the ruling BJP.
Patole alleged that the central government was acting like a dictator. The central government is working to destroy the constitution and democracy. During this, he also accused the Center of selling national assets.
Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole said that apart from targeting the opposition, the BJP is also trying to eliminate its allies. Now these allies have distanced themselves from the BJP. Earlier, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had also come here to meet the leaders, but nothing happened after that. He said that TRS had earlier taken a stand in Parliament which was beneficial for BJP but now its views about BJP have changed. Patole said that we welcome his change of heart.
Union minister Ramdas Athawale on Sunday said that even if Shiv Sena, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and other parties come together to form a third front at the national level, there is no threat to the NDA. People are happy with the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During this, he claimed that the BJP would win the 2024 national elections and the ongoing assembly elections in five states.
