Bhopal, Navdunia Representative. Preparations are going on in full swing for the Mahashivratri festival in the capital. Mahashivratri, the festival of worship of Lord Bholenath, will be celebrated with great pomp on March 1. On this occasion, special religious rituals will be held in the pagodas of the city. Shiv processions will take place from more than 20 places in the new and old city. The rituals of turmeric and henna will be performed today at Shri Badwale Mahadev Temple located at Kayasthapura in the old city. Women will apply turmeric and henna to Baba Shri Bateshwar in Shri Badwale Mahadev Temple. At the same time, women will apply turmeric and henna to Goddess Parvati at 9 pm in Somwara Jai Bhavani temple. Along with this, Mangal songs will be sung.
Sanjay Aggarwal and member Pramod Nema, convener of Badwale Mahadev Temple Committee, told that during the 21-day festival, there will be a Haldi Mehndi ceremony and Akhand Ramayana recitation on 26 February, special makeup darshan on Som Pradosh on 28 February. On March 1, a grand Shiv procession will go out on a city tour. At nine o’clock in the night, the marriage festival will be celebrated in Bhavani Chowk Monday after the garland. On March 6, divine makeup and Maha Prasad will be distributed. The program will end on March 15 with the farewell of Mother. Every year Mahashivratri festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence in Shri Badwale Mahadev. Due to Corona, programs were being held in less crowd than two years. Due to the reduction of this big corona, the program has been kept on a large scale.
Turmeric and Mehndi in Maa Ashapura court on 27th
The preparations for Shivratri festival have started. On February 27, a turmeric-henna ceremony will be organized here from 6 pm. On this occasion, turmeric and henna will be applied to Lord Bholenath and Mata Parvati. On March 01, Lord Rudrabhishek will be done in the morning and Shiva procession will be taken out. In the procession, children will walk in their fancy dress dress in Shiva procession and everyone will be rewarded.
Pashupatinath will be anointed with 108 Gangajal urns
Kalash Yatra from Bhavanidham Khedapati Hanuman Temple will be taken out from Govindpura. The journey will reach Pashupatinath temple. A big program has been kept in the temple premises on the day of Mahashivratri. Pashupatinath will be consecrated with 108 Gangajal kalashas. Prasad will also be distributed to the devotees.
