Balaghat, Naiduniya Rep. Mahashivratri, the festival of devotion to Lord Shiva, is being celebrated with gaiety in religious atmosphere across the district on Tuesday. Various religious events are taking place at various places on Mahashivratri. Mahaprasad is being distributed from place to place by organizing puja recitation and a batch of devotees reached the pagodas to have darshan of Lord Shiva from morning and after seeing the Lord they offered prayers. Due to the Corona period in two years, the Mahashivratri festival was formally celebrated. Neither the fair was filled nor any program could be held. But this year, due to relaxation of COVID rules by the state government, this year Shivratri festival is being celebrated with faith and devotees are witnessing an atmosphere of happiness.
On the occasion of Mahashivratri, since morning, those who shaved the load took Nandi to Mahadev with a melody. Due to Shivratri festival in Pandhari Path Dham Vari of the district, Mata Rani was adorned by worshiping aarti on Tuesday. In Koteshwar Mahadev too, there was a queue to offer prayers to the devotees. Apart from this, Baba Mandi in Baihar tehsil, on the banks of Tannore river on Mukki Marg, Songhaghara, the source of Sen river of Birsa, hill of Chartola, temple in village Limoti of Gram Panchayat Navhi Panchayat and Panbihari, Kanjai, Ghoti, Nevergaon, Ramarma of Warasivani in Lalbarra tehsil , Garra Rampayali, Vara, Khairlanji’s Kothurna, Navegaon temple complex held a one-day fair.
Five days fair at these places: There is a five-day fair in Bhaisagarh Mahadev in District Panchayat Katangi village Bisapur. Similarly, there is a five-day fair in Baba Kuti, Jharia Mahadev in Tirodi, Gupt Mahadev in Savarjhedi of Paraswada. At the same time, a five-day fair has also been organized at Koteshwar Mahadev in Lanji tehsil headquarters. Apart from this, fairs are full in Dongargaon of Kirnapur, Kalagota and Ramrama Mahadev of Varaseoni. Due to the very old Mahadev temple at these places, people go to worship the faith from the festival of Mahashivaratri to the end of the fair. Also, enjoy the fair and do shopping.
