New Delhi. An incident of PSG platoon commander being shot in the Shri Ram temple complex in Ayodhya has come to light. According to reports, on Tuesday, 53-year-old Commander Ram Prasad was shot under suspicious circumstances, causing panic at the spot. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition and later referred to the Trauma Center in Lucknow with life support.
Hearing the sound of the bullet, other security personnel saw that Ram Prasad was lying on the ground and he was shot in the chest. He was immediately taken to the district hospital in Faizabad and then, considering the seriousness of his injuries, he was referred to the trauma center in Lucknow. The situation remains critical and investigation is ongoing.
It is noteworthy that Prime Minister Modi had inaugurated the consecration of Ram temple on January 24 this year. Since then thousands of people from across the country come to Ayodhya every day and stay for one to two days. Security has been tightened around the temple and PSG has been deployed to keep an eye on every nook and corner.
