Sukant Mazumdar’s protest stage removed
Earlier, BJP state president Sukant Majumdar retaliated and said that Mamta Banerjee is not the chief minister of all but of one religion. Sukant Majumdar was about to stage a sit-in protest at Shrirampur in Hooghly today, but before that the administration got the BJP stage removed from there. Sukant Mazumdar had also raised questions on the visit of Mamata government minister Arup Roy to the violence-hit area of Hooghly. On the other hand, West Bengal Governor CV Anand Bose visited Risda area of Hooghly today. There was an incident of stone pelting and violence at a railway station here on Monday night. CV Bose has said that strict action will be taken against the rioters and he is with the people of Bengal.
We will not allow any miscreant to take law into his hands. The people of Bengal have the right to live in peace. Peace must be restored. The miscreants will be dealt with strictly.

Violence during the procession in Howrah
The violence started in Howrah on March 30 during a procession on Ram Navami. During this, there was arson and clash after stone pelting on the procession. Mamta Sarkar had said that instead of the fixed route, the procession passed through another area. On the other hand, all the Hindu organizations including Vishwa Hindu Parishad said that permission was taken in advance for the route through which the procession took place. There is tension in Shivpur area of Howrah since many days. Amit Malviya, head of BJP’s IT cell and co-incharge of Bengal, had said in a tweet that the VHP had got permission for a procession on Ram Navami. The administration had given permission to take out the procession from BE College to Ramkrishnapur Ghat. Malviya alleged, ‘When Mamta Banerjee says that the route has been changed, she lies. They have biased the agencies handling the investigation and law and order. Embarrassing.’
Mamta Banerjee is the Chief Minister of only one religion. Trinamool Congress is using police as its cadre. If there is danger if I go to Hooghly, then how come there is no danger if Minister Arup Roy goes there?
