West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is in full action mood against the rebels. Mamata Banerjee had issued a warning to all the rebel candidates of the party for the civic polls to be held on February 27. The warning is that he should withdraw his decision to contest the election as an independent, but seeing this not happening, the party has taken a big action. Mamta Banerjee has expelled these 50 rebel leaders from the party. According to an English media report, 50 TMC rebel leaders who had contested the civic polls as independent candidates have been expelled by the party. Along with this, hundreds of workers have been expelled.
According to the report, the number of leaders from Nadia and North 24 Parganas are more against whom action has been taken in the last 24 hours. Before taking action, TMC secretary Partha Chatterjee had given 48 hours to the rebel candidates to withdraw their names from the election. In this regard, Firhad Hakim, a minister in the state government, had also warned the rebels. Despite this, there was no change in the attitude of the rebels, after which the party has taken action.
Before this action, a meeting of the newly constituted working committee by TMC was held on Friday, which was headed by CM Mamta Banerjee. In this meeting, Mamta Banerjee instructed to take a strict stand against all the rebels. During this, after discussion, he also stamped the names of Mayor and Deputy Mayor for the four corporations.
According to TMC sources, most of the rebel candidates had fielded as independents from Bankura district, many of whom did not withdraw their nominations despite warnings; As a result all of them have been expelled from the party.
