RCB made it to the final of Women’s Premier League
Smriti Mandhana’s team eliminated Mumbai Indians
New Delhi. Royal Challengers Bangalore team captained by Smriti Mandhana snatched the victory from Mumbai Indians in the last over. Mumbai Indians, captained by Harmanpreet Kaun, needed 12 runs from 6 balls to win with 5 wickets in hand, but in front of the excellent bowling of spinner Asha Sobhana, the Mumbai team could score only 6 runs in the last over and lost by 5 runs. Lost the eliminator match. With this victory, Bangalore team has entered the final of the Women’s Premier League where it will face Delhi Capitals on Sunday. The final will be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi from 7:20 pm.
While chasing the target of 136 runs set by RCB, Mumbai Indians could only score 130 runs for 6 wickets. For Mumbai, captain Harmanpreet Kaur scored the highest 33 runs while Net Sheaver Brunt contributed 23 runs. Amelia Kerr returned unbeaten after scoring 27 runs. For RCB, Shreyanka Patil took two wickets while Ellyse Perry, Sophie Mollique, Georgia Wareham and Asha Sobhana took one wicket each.

Ellis Perry played an inning of 66 runs for RCB.
Earlier, Ellyse Perry scored 66 runs but the rest of the batsmen of Royal Challengers Bangalore could not perform and the team could only score 135 runs for 6 wickets. Perry scored 66 runs in 50 balls but he could not get support from the other end. Mumbai bowlers had reduced RCB’s 3 wickets to 24 runs within 4 overs of powerplay. For Mumbai, Haley Mathews took 2 wickets for 18 runs in 4 overs. He sent Sophie Devine to the pavilion first.
Richa Ghosh also failed to play big innings
Captain Smriti Mandhana (10) was dismissed by Nat Skewer Brunt while Disha Kasat (0) was caught by Pooja Vastrakar off the ball of left arm spinner Saika Ishaq. Ishaq took two wickets for 18 runs in four overs. Mathews took the second wicket in the form of Richa Ghosh who hit a six but could not last. Perry hit some good fours and Ishaq for a six in the straight. Apart from this, Shabnam Ismail was hit for a four at short third man. She kept watching the fall of wickets from the other end. In the end Georgia Wareham scored unbeaten 18 runs in 10 balls. She took the team beyond 130 runs by hitting Ishaq for a six on the last ball.
