India won seven medals in its best ever performance in Tokyo Olympics
After India’s spectacular performance in the Tokyo Olympics, Prime Minister Narendra Modi invited all the players for tea at his official residence. All the players were also invited by the Prime Minister on the Independence Day organized at the Red Fort a day earlier. It is noteworthy that the Indian contingent had performed very well in this regard in the Tokyo Olympics, after which the PM called all the players to meet.
The Prime Minister also met and posed with the silver and bronze winning wrestling team. In which both the Prime Minister’s medal winners Ravi Kumar Dahiya and Bajrang Punia were standing. On behalf of the team, Captain Manpreet Singh gifted a hockey stick signed by all the players to Narendra Modi.
