MP Petrol Diesel Price: Bhopal (State Bureau). The public eye is on the budget of the Madhya Pradesh government to be presented in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly on March 9. The public hopes that the state government can give relief by giving exemption in tax (VAT) on petrol and diesel. Because in November 2021, even after giving a discount of four per cent in VAT on petrol and diesel, one liter of petrol is being sold at Rs 107.23 and diesel at Rs 90.87 per liter in the state. Public spends huge amount on petrol and diesel. Therefore, the common man wants relief in this era of inflation. The main opposition party Congress has also raised this demand.
She will also place a demand in the House during the assembly session to control inflation. At the same time, the public is also continuously demanding control of inflation, which is not possible without reducing the price of petrol and diesel. It should be known that the highest revenue comes from petrol and diesel in the state. Therefore, it is not easy for the government to give tax exemption, but there are assembly elections in the state next year, before that urban body and panchayat elections are also to be held. Seeing which it is expected that the government can give a discount on petrol and diesel.
