A day after all three MLAs of Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Mukesh Sahni has refused to step down as a minister. After the defeat in the assembly elections, minister Mukesh Sahni, who was sent by the BJP to the Legislative Council, dismissed the speculation of leaving the ministerial post and said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has to take a decision on this. If he removes them then the verdict will be acceptable.
The VIP is a partner in the Bihar government along with the BJP and the Nitish Kumar-led JDU. Addressing a press conference in Patna on Thursday, Mukesh Sahni said that his life has been full of struggles and he is ready to fight till his last breath. Sahni wished all his three MLAs who joined BJP and said that BJP has now become the single largest party in the House. He also congratulated the BJP.
When Sahni was questioned about his resignation from the post of minister, he said, “My resignation is the prerogative of CM Nitish Kumar. So I will do what he says. CM Nitish Kumar has to decide who will be the minister in the government. If you want, remove me.” Accusing the BJP leaders of Bihar, the VIP chief said that there was a conspiracy from the beginning to break them.
Sahni said, “Whenever I tried to move on. I started hitting people. I have not committed any mistake by contesting the UP elections. I will fight till my last breath for my people, but Sanjay Jaiswal has lied a lot.
