Lucknow . After a gap of almost two years, the nine-day Chaitra Navratri festival that begins on Saturday will see a massive celebration. The temples will remain open till late night without any restrictions after the Corona pandemic restrictions are significantly eased, although devotees will be requested to wear masks.
Navratri will be marked with traditional ‘bhajan’, ‘havan’, ‘aarti’ and ‘bhandara’ (community feast).
However, the ‘Aarti’ will be shown live in the temple for those devotees who cannot go to the temples.
Temples are being decorated and illuminated for Navratri in Ayodhya and special pujas are being organized in many temples.
“We need to pray for the health of mankind and thank God for giving us the strength to bear the pandemic crisis,” said Raj Keshwar, a regular visitor to the Hanuman Garhi temple.
Pandit Sandeep Mishra, priest of a Ram temple in Aminabad, said, “After a gap of two years, this time Navratri will be celebrated with full enthusiasm and grandeur. Devotees can worship in the temples without any restrictions which is an auspicious omen. “
The doors of Chandrika Devi temple will also open at seven in the morning for the crowd of devotees.
Akhilesh Singh, president of Maa Chandrika Devi Mela Vikas Samiti, said, “We are making arrangements and hope that Navratri will come once again in large numbers. However, we are trying to remind people to wear masks and maintain social distance. Will make announcements every hour.
Similarly, a huge crowd is expected to offer prayers at the Badi Kali Ji temple in the chowk and attend the main aarti and bhajan-kirtan.
Hanuman Setu Temple Management Committee has announced that the temple will remain open from 5 am to 10 pm. But on Tuesday it will remain open till 11 pm.
The Ram Darbar in the campus will remain open from 5.30 am to 9.00 pm. Devotees will be requested to wear face masks.
