The country’s renowned bike maker Bajaj had announced a partnership with Triumph at the beginning of 2020. Under which the group is now looking closer to launch its first motorcycle, we are saying this because recently, pictures of two new Bajaj-Triumph bikes have surfaced on the internet during testing, and these pictures has rocked the two wheeler industry across the world.
As per the images revealed, the upcoming bikes are taking design cues from Triumph’s existing product range, especially the Street Scrambler, and will be powered by a 500cc engine. Coming to the Scrambler, it looks like a Bonneville with round shaped headlamps, and some bodywork borrowed from the Bonneville family. It has a single header pipe leading to the outside.
Engine and Pricing Updates
Talking about the engine, the company can use 450cc liquid-cooled DOHC single engine on these. Given that the Scrambler 900 is a twin. The Scrambler will get a smaller windscreen, TFT instrument cluster. Other highlights include upside-down front forks, monoshock rear with twin springs opposite the Scrambler 900 and 1200, split seats, black alloy wheels, vertically mounted large radiator, slim fuel tank etc.

As of now, the Bajaj Triumph Scrambler is expected to make its global debut later this year before going on sale in 2023. To keep the cost of these bikes competitive, they may be manufactured at Bajaj’s new plant in Chakan. Both the brands are focusing in the 250-700cc space, and are expected to compete in the RE, Jawa, Yezdi and Honda CB 350 range as well. Talking about the price at the moment, its price can be around Rs 3 lakh ex-showroom.
