New Delhi: The command of Janata Dal (United) has once again gone into the hands of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. After Lalan Singh’s resignation, Nitish Kumar was elected the chief of JDU. However, its formal announcement will be made only after the executive meeting. This is the third time that Nitish Kumar has been made the President of JDU.
Along with this, Nitish Kumar has been authorized to take decisions ranging from sheet sharing to India alliance. Before this, Lalan Singh was also doing this work. But now this has also been changed. While resigning from the post of party president, Lalan Singh said that I had taken up this responsibility only at the behest of Nitish Kumar. But now I have to contest Lok Sabha elections. Therefore, I now resign from the post of party president. Along with this, he himself proposed the name of Nitish Kumar as the new president.
Why did Lalan Singh lose his chair?
Lalan Singh himself has given the reason for resigning from the post of JDU President. According to him, he has left the post of party president to contest the Lok Sabha elections. But there is a discussion going on in the political circles that Lalan Singh was not able to strongly support JDU and Nitish Kumar in the India alliance. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was said to be angry with him due to this. Along with this, it was being said that Lalan Singh was growing closer to Lalu Yadav and his family. Nitish Kumar was also not liking this thing. After which it was said that Nitish Kumar may take a big decision soon. Many times there was even news of JDU merging with RJD. But all these speculations came to an end today and Nitish Kumar again took the chair of the party chief.
