Jammu. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday said that his administration wants to rid the Union Territory of terrorism and corruption. Addressing the passing out parade of 636 newly recruited Border Security Force (BSF) personnel at the Auxiliary Training Center, Udhampur, the Lieutenant Governor lavished praise on the security forces.
He appreciated the role of the security forces in valiantly facing various challenges like thwarting infiltration attempts and preventing smuggling of narcotics and arms.
Manoj Sinha said, “We have successfully faced all the challenges and our security force is alert. Security forces have played an important role in building a new Jammu and Kashmir by thwarting the designs of anti-national forces.”
He said, “There is a need to root out the decades old terrorist ecosystem. We will continue our endeavor to take a jibe at corruption and financing of terrorism to make Jammu and Kashmir a developed society free from corruption and fear. That is our goal.” “
Addressing the BSF jawans, the Lt Governor said, “Drug addiction is a big challenge, because Pakistan smuggles drugs here under a conspiracy. You have to play a big role in stopping the smuggling of drugs.”
He said, “You are fully capable and prepared. The nation is watching that BSF is performing its duties in hilly areas, plains, deserts and dense forests with full dedication and commitment. facing every threat to the sovereignty of the nation.”
Manoj Sinha said, “If anyone wants to test us, we are ready to give a befitting reply.”
