This will be the first time after two decades that Pakistan will host a tri-series.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has to host the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025. Just before this, he has been given the responsibility of organizing the ODI tri-series. PCB got this big success in the annual meeting of ICC. The PCB confirmed the organization of this series after talking to the heads of the cricket boards of South Africa and New Zealand. Pakistan will play this tri-series before the Champions Trophy.
PCB got hosting after 20 years
After two decades, Pakistan Cricket Board will host a tri-series. In the year 2004, PCB hosted the tri-series played between Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. The last time this team played the tri-series was in the year 2008 when the teams of India and Bangladesh came to play. This tri-series was played under the hosting of Bangladesh Cricket Board.
PCB’s new chief Mohsin Naqvi expressed happiness on winning the hosting of this tri-series. He said, a tri-series will be played between Pakistan, South Africa and New Zealand. After a long time, such a tournament will be organized in Pakistan. I would like to thank the New Zealand Cricket Board and the South Africa Cricket Board for agreeing to take part in the tri-series.
