Summary
The Ministry of Women and Child Development and Ministry of Social Empowerment have asked all the District Magistrates and concerned administrative officers to complete the necessary action by February 28.
The ‘PM Care for Children Scheme’ has been extended till February 28 for the children who lost their parents due to corona infection. Under this, children are given assistance on a monthly basis till they attain the age of 18 years. A lump sum of Rs 10 lakh is given on completion of 23 years of age.

Register on the portal
Any citizen can take advantage of this scheme by giving related information or registering through the portal. All states and union territories have to identify and register eligible children by February 28, 2022.
