The Prime Minister has reprimanded all the MPs at the BJP Parliamentary Party meeting at the Ambedkar International Centre. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday stressed the presence of party MPs in Parliament, saying if they do not change themselves, they will change with time. Due to this, in the coming time, those MPs may fall on those MPs who avoid performing their duty.
In fact, Prime Minister Modi has asked all the MPs to be present in parliamentary meetings many times and also to participate in the discussion of the works of their area. At the same time, he also said that only those MPs who are busy in their area program can stay out of the meeting. Despite this, some MPs are not taking it seriously.
Now who are these MPs who can be on PM Modi’s radar?
When we looked at the data for the period from 1 June 2019 to 11 August 2021, we found that there are many big names who have become MPs, but their numbers are small in the name of attendance.
- First of all, let’s talk about Sunny Deol, MP from Gurdaspur, whose attendance in the house is only 31 percent. They also remain absent from their parliamentary constituency. Even the posters of their disappearance are seen in Punjab.
- The presence of Hema Malini from Mathura is also only 53% and she also keeps missing from her parliamentary constituency.
- MP from North West Delhi Hans Raj Hans has an attendance of 49%.
- Gautam Gambhir’s attendance from East Delhi is 66%.
- Chandigarh MP Kirron Kher has 58% attendance.
- Similarly, Lok Sabha MP from Chitradurga in Karnataka and Union Minister A. Narayanaswamy’s attendance is 61%
- BJP MP from Chikbalpur seat in Karnataka B. N. Bache Gowda has an attendance of 42%.
- Rajya Sabha MP from UP Arun Shourie has 61% attendance and Rajya Sabha MP from Gujarat Bharatsinh Prabhatsinh Parmar has 66% attendance.
These are some of the names about which we are giving you information. If you sit to make a list on the number of absences, then the figures of opposition leaders are not very good. However, there are also names like Nainital-Udhamsinghnagar MP and Union Minister Ajay Bhatt who participate in the proceedings of the House.
What did PM Modi say?
PM Modi had expressed displeasure over the absence of MPs even during the monsoon session and had also asked for their list. This time he has given a warning in the Parliamentary Party meeting. He has said, ‘Even if children are asked repeatedly about something, they do not do it. Please bring change, otherwise change happens, I do not like to say this again and again. During this, the Prime Minister did not name any MP, but he said that it is important to be punctual and work for the welfare of the people.
During this, PM Modi lauded Agra MP SP Singh Baghel, who successfully organized a sports event in his constituency. During the meeting, party president JP Nadda also asked all the MPs to go to their respective constituencies after the winter session of Parliament and discuss over tea with district presidents and divisional presidents.
Now how many MPs take PM Modi’s talk seriously, it will soon be in front of everyone, but it is certain that action can be taken against those who are negligent.
