Along with this, a total of nine mobile teams have been formed in market, fair, high risk area, railway station, bus stand, building construction sites. Along with this, eight transit teams have been deployed. For monitoring the pulse polio campaign, 33 sectors have been constituted in the area and the duty of 33 supervisors has been imposed.
CMHO Dr GC Sharma said, India has remained polio free for a decade. Since polio is a very serious and contagious disease, the best way to avoid it is to always give polio drops to children up to the age of five years. Keeping in view the situation of COVID-19, all appropriate steps have been taken to ensure safe vaccination. For example, avoiding crowding at booths, maintaining a distance of two meters, wearing masks, washing hands and administering polio doses in a ventilated environment. This time in the polio campaign, polio dose will be given by monitoring specially in brick kilns and construction areas. This strategy has been made because the working class people change their place very quickly after the work is over. Because of this, their children miss out on drinking.
