Jaipur . Water Resources Minister Dr. Mahesh Joshi has said that it is the collective responsibility of all of us to save and conserve water. With the resolve to save water in their daily lives, everyone should make maximum use of it their habit because saving water is the production of water.
Dr. Joshi was addressing the poster release program organized by Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) and Water and Sanitation Cooperation Organization (WSSO) as the chief guest on the occasion of ‘World Water Day’ in Jaipur on Tuesday.
Water supply minister said that water is the most essential element for life after air, which we get from nature, but it has become human nature that the things which we get naturally, individuals should take care of their use and management. I am becoming careless. He said that whenever life is discovered by humans on planets other than Earth, water is first searched there. The discovery of water itself suggests that there may have been life there. That’s why it is said that if there is water, there is life. Today in this perspective, while saving water, there is a need to fulfill our responsibility towards it.
Dr. Joshi said that this day is celebrated as ‘World Water Day’ by the United Nations to create awareness among people about water conservation all over the world. To make everyone aware of this responsibility, the United Nations has declared the decade 2018 to 2028 as the Decade of Water Action.
