New Delhi: The heat has increased due to increase in temperature in the states of the country including Delhi. Maximum temperatures in many parts of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu are between 40-43 degrees Celsius. Temperatures at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Saurashtra, Kutch, Marathwada, East Rajasthan are 2-4 degrees Celsius above normal.
Barmer was the hottest place
According to the Meteorological Department, during the last 24 hours, a maximum temperature of 42.4 degrees Celsius was recorded in Barmer, which is the highest in North India. After this, Rajkot in Gujarat was the hottest place where a temperature of 41.7 degrees was recorded. The maximum temperature was recorded at 41.5 degrees Celsius in Ahmedabad, 41.1 in Bhuj and Gandhinagar, 41 in Jodhpur of Rajasthan and 40.5 degrees Celsius in Jaisalmer. There is a possibility of extreme heat here even today.
Hail may occur along with rain in many states of North India
According to the Meteorological Department, there may be rain and hailstorm in many states of the country during the next 48 hours. There is a possibility of hailstorm at isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Western Rajasthan on April 13. Western Uttar Pradesh and Eastern Rajasthan may receive rain and hailstorm on April 14. There is an alert of rain and hailstorm in East Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha on April 11 and 12.
Snowfall alert in hilly states
The Meteorological Department said that there may be heavy rain at different places in Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh on April 14. Apart from this, there is also a possibility of snowfall.
Hottest day of the year so far in Delhi
The temperature of Delhi is continuously increasing. The maximum temperature in the national capital rose to 39.1 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, the highest temperature in the city so far this year. IMD data shows that the second highest maximum temperature was recorded at 38 degrees Celsius on March 9. According to the data, Delhi’s maximum temperature on Wednesday was four degrees above this season’s average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 17 degrees Celsius.
The temperature will reach 40 degrees Celsius
Kuldeep Srivastava, scientist and head of the Regional Meteorological Center, said that the temperature is expected to rise to about 40 degrees Celsius this week, but at present there is no possibility of heat wave as there may be thunderstorms in Delhi on April 13 and 14. . The Meteorological Department office has predicted partly cloudy sky in Delhi on Thursday, due to which the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be 39 and 19 degrees Celsius respectively.
