Magarload. In Magarlod block, a case of lifting of food grains from the government ration shop in the name of dead persons has also come to the fore. Since the year 2019-20, ration of many people is being issued continuously in the village Bellardona. Villagers have made a written complaint to the SDM and the police station and demanded action against the concerned person after conducting a fair investigation.
In the Magarlod area of the district these days many complaints are coming out regarding the ration distribution system. In the latest case, complaints about the issuance of ration in the name of six dead persons have reached the higher authorities in the village Bellardona. Former Deputy Sarpanch Dronacharya Sahu told that ration has been allotted from the ration shop in the village in the name of people who died two or three years ago. In this regard, Rakesh Khatri, Food Inspector Magarlod said that a complaint was received by the salesmen for lifting the ration material in the name of the deceased, after which the investigation report has been sent to the SDM for further action. While the system is valid, the station in-charge Magarlod said that appropriate action will be taken after investigating the matter of withdrawal of ration in the name of the dead.
In this, the role of the salesman of the cooperative society and the branch manager of the paddy procurement center is doubtful. He told that the woman Gomti Bai’s wife, Late. Sukhu Ram’s death on 11 November 2021 and Rain by wife Self Rohit Cover died on 12 April 2021. Even after the death of all these beneficiaries, ration rice, sugar, other ration rice, sugar and other items were used for personal use by making fake and forged signatures. Considering the seriousness of the matter, he has demanded a fair investigation and strict action should be taken against the concerned. The complainant, former Deputy Sarpanch Dronacharya Sahu, said that it has been 15 days since the complaint was made, but so far no action has been taken by the officials.
