Taking major action against corruption, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday ordered suspension of Auraiya District Officer Sunil Kumar Verma. Along with this, CM Yogi also ordered a vigilance inquiry against Sunil Verma. After this order of Yogi Adityanath, there was a stir in the bureaucracy of the state. At the same time, after this action of CM, BJP’s Etawah MP Ram Shankar Katheria also demanded action against Etawah DM. Last week itself, CM Yogi took action against Sonbhadra DM and Ghaziabad SSP and suspended them.

Very commendable decision. Like Sunil Verma Mahabhrashta, District Magistrate Auraiya, Etawah District Magistrate should also be investigated.
Before the election, BJP MP Katheria had complained against Auraiya DM and wrote a letter to the Chief Minister. BJP MP had accused Sunil Verma that Auraiya DM is in collusion with mining mafia and daily more than 1 thousand overloaded trucks are passed from Jalaun Road on the instructions of DM and recovery is made from them.
Why action was taken on Auraiya DM: Auraiya DM Sunil Kumar Verma has been accused of corruption and dereliction of duty. Additional Chief Secretary (Information) Navneet Sehgal said, “He (Sunil Kumar Verma) has been suspended for dereliction of duty and corruption. Vigilance inquiry has been ordered against them. Please tell that Sunil Verma is a 2013 batch IAS officer and hails from Rae Bareli district.
Action against the third senior officer: After taking oath as the Chief Minister for the second time, CM Yogi is looking very tough on the officials. This is the third major action in the last 5 days. Before this, CM has also suspended Sonbhadra DM and Ghaziabad SSP Pawan Kumar after taking action.
