Delhi Police has busted a prostitution racket in Aerocity near Indira Gandhi Airport. The police have arrested three people associated with this racket, including a woman. However, the police did not reveal the identity of the woman. While two accused have been identified as Naveen Singh of Bihar and Riyas Siddiqui alias Rajesh of UP. A case has been registered against these accused under the Immoral Traffic Act.
DCP Sanjay Tyagi of the airport area said that after receiving information about this racket a few days ago, a team was formed under the leadership of ACP Bijendra Singh and SHO Yashpal. A policeman from the police team was taken as a customer to the person whose number was given by the informer to the police team. After this, she was asked to book a room in a hotel where the woman had arrived with her agent Naveen Singh.
According to DCP Sanjay Tyagi, Naveen Singh dropped the woman near the hotel and left with the fixed amount. Then the woman after reaching the room took money in advance from the fake customer (policeman). After some time, when the policeman gave a signal to the team, a raiding team entered the hotel room and the woman was apprehended. While Agent Naveen was apprehended by the other team.
After coming under police custody, Naveen Singh revealed the name of Riyas Siddiqui alias Rajesh, who was later arrested by the police. DCP Tyagi said that the investigation revealed that the accused had taken a hotel on lease in Sector 45 of Gurugram. Along with other associates, he was running an organized prostitution racket in NCR.
In this high profile racket, customers used to contact touts through normal contacts and then pictures of women were sent to them through WhatsApp. Police said that the accused used to take some money from the customers as token money, then the agents would drop the woman at the designated place. Police have seized a WagonR car, Rs 30,000 and three mobile phones from these accused.
