Police has registered a case against the Congress MLA who caught illegal liquor in Gujarat. After the registration of the case, the Congress MLA said that she would raise this issue in the assembly and tell the reality of prohibition to everyone.
Prohibition law is in force in Gujarat. Selling and buying liquor here is both a crime, but illegal liquor stores have been found here too. The Congress has been accusing the BJP government of failing on this issue. Now the dispute between BJP and Congress seems to be increasing over this issue.
Recently, Congress MLA from Vav in Banaskantha district, Ganiben Thakor, caught a truck full of illicit liquor in Janata Raid. The MLA said that illegal liquor business runs here with the connivance of the police. As soon as he got the information, he stormed with the public and grabbed the truck.
It is said that after catching the truck, the driver and his companion were also beaten up and they kept him with them for some time. When the police came, these accused were handed over to them. Now the police have registered a case of kidnapping against MLA Ganiben Thakor.
When the Congress MLA came to know about the registration of the case, he said that the truth comes to the fore. She will raise this issue in the assembly, so that the public can also know how successful is the prohibition law in the state. Smugglers are upset due to illegal liquor being caught, so a case has been registered against them.
The Congress MLA further said that his fight against the smugglers would continue. This case will give him more courage. She will agree to stop the illicit liquor business. At the same time, the police is also being criticized for registering the case. People say that instead of taking action against the smugglers of illegal liquor, the police is taking action only against those who caught them. However, after the criticism, the Gujarat Police is now seen taking action against the smugglers.
