The Haryana Health Department’s report regarding those who died of the corona epidemic showed that most of the patients did not have any other disease. Data obtained by the Indian Express from Haryana’s health department showed that out of 10,594 who died of COVID-19 in the state till March 17, 3,952 were not suffering from any other disease. While 3,085 people who died after coming in contact with the virus were found to have various diseases.
An analysis revealed that at least 1,357 patients who died of COVID-19 also had diabetes, 692 had high blood pressure, and 392 had respiratory disease. At the same time, 310 patients were suffering from heart disease and 178 people were suffering from kidney disease. According to the report, 123 patients were of cancer. At the same time, 86 people had liver related diseases, 15 people had anemia and 245 patients had various other diseases.
It was found in the report that 2,727 patients who died due to COVID-19 infection were in the age group of 65-74. This was followed by 2,547 patients in the 55-64 age group. There were approximately 1,741 patients in the age group of 45-54. Apart from this, 1,418 patients were 75 to 84 years old, 497 patients were 25 to 34 years old and 393 patients were 85–94 years old.
The highest positivity rate recorded during the first wave was 16.36 per cent on November 16, 2020. On May 5, 2021, this rate had reached 30.51 percent. The daily positivity rate on January 27 this year was 17.87 per cent, while on Saturday it was recorded only 0.36 per cent.
The highest number of positive cases in a single day during the first wave was recorded on November 20, 2020. Its number was 3,104. Whereas during the second wave it increased to 15,786 on 4 May 2021. On the other hand, only 39 new cases were reported on Saturday evening. In vaccination, the state has achieved 100 percent coverage for the first dose and 86 percent for the second dose.
