There has been news of a clash in Haryana regarding the membership drive of the Congress party. There has been a tussle between Bhupinder Singh Hooda and Kumari Selja faction regarding this. It is ordered to be completed by 31st March. Meanwhile, both the leaders have hit out at the Manohar Lal Khattar-led government and accused it of promoting illegal colonies.
The central leadership gave instructions regarding the membership drive- The central leadership of the Congress has given instructions regarding the membership drive in the state. According to this, it is to be completed by March 31, but due to the clash between Hooda and Selja camp, not much progress has been made. Being the party president in the state, Selja directed the party leaders to make members online.
Hooda camp wants offline subscription with online- On the other hand, Hooda camp wants to do online as well as offline membership, but they are not getting the form for this from the party office. The faction questioned the manner in which the membership campaign was run before the election of the state president of the Youth Congress. Youth Congress leaders claim that about 15 lakh new members have been made. Of these, about nine lakh organizations participated in the elections.
