The Task Force team of Hyderabad Police has busted a rave party in a pub of a five star hotel in Banjara Hills. Around 142 people, including children of VIPs, actors and politicians, have been detained from this party going on in the hotel’s pub. According to reports, banned substances like cocaine and weed have also been found from these people during the bust of the Rave Party.
Those detained from this rave party include Niharika Konidela, daughter of actor Naga Babu, who is also the niece of megastar Chiranjeevi. However, Naga Babu released a video after the incident saying that his daughter has no connection with drugs. Apart from this, singer and winner of the third season of Bigg Boss Telugu reality show Rahul Sipliganj has also been detained.
Rahul Sipliganj is the same singer who sang the theme song of the campaign against drugs launched by Hyderabad Police on February 12. Others in the party included the daughter of a top policeman from Andhra Pradesh and the son of a Telugu Desam MP from the state. Telangana Congress leader Anjan Kumar Yadav said that his son had gone to the birthday party and all kinds of lies and deception are being done at this time.
Congress leader Anjan Kumar Yadav further said that all the pubs in the city should be closed. While Banjara Hills Station House Officer (SHO) Shiv Chandra has been suspended by Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand for dereliction of duty. Now from the task force instead of Shiv Chandra, K. Nageswara Rao has been given the charge. It is being told that the pub present in the five-star hotel, which was very popular among the party-goers; She is the daughter of a former MP who belongs to Khammam district.
The raid at Hotel Radisson Blu comes at a time when the police have intensified their operation against drugs. For this, a new Hyderabad-Narcotics Enforcement Wing has also been formed recently. This wing is continuously taking strict action against those who sell and buy drugs. It is to be known that recently an engineering student died of drug overdose.
