Before the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav had met his uncle Shivpal Singh Yadav and after that there were reports of reconciliation between the two leaders. Shivpal Singh Yadav also contested from Jaswantnagar assembly seat on Samajwadi Party ticket and won. After the election, the news of sourness between Akhilesh Yadav and Shivpal Yadav has started coming to the fore again. Now allies of SP are also targeting Shivpal Yadav.
Keshav Dev Maurya, the national president of Mahan Dal, an ally of SP, has said that, “The displeasure of Shivpal Singh Yadav is not right. He is the national president of a party. It would not have been appropriate if Akhilesh Yadav ji had called him for the SP’s legislature party meeting. If he wants to join the legislature party of SP, then he should merge his party with Samajwadi Party. If Akhilesh Yadav had treated Shivpal Singh Yadav like an SP MLA, it would not have been proper.”
Keshav Dev Maurya further said that his party was not used much in the assembly elections due to which the alliance suffered. He said that the way RLD and Omprakash Rajbhar’s party SubhaSP were given attention, if his party was used in the same way, today the results would have been different. On the other hand, regarding the meeting of allies, Keshav Dev Maurya said that I have not been given any information about the meeting yet.
Let us tell you that there are speculations about Shivpal Yadav joining BJP. A few days back, Shivpal Singh Yadav had met the Chief Minister of the state, Yogi Adityanath. Just minutes after the meeting of Yogi and Shivpal, BJP state president Swatantra Dev Singh had reached Yogi Adityanath to meet him. On the other hand, Keshav Prasad Maurya said on the question of Shivpal Singh Yadav joining that there is no vacancy in BJP yet.
Actually Akhilesh Yadav had called a meeting of Samajwadi Party MLAs and Shivpal Singh Yadav was not invited in it. Shivpal Singh Yadav was furious over this and said that he is also a Samajwadi Party MLA but he was not invited to the meeting. After Shivpal’s statement, the SP state president had said that today there was a meeting of the MLAs of the SP, the meeting of the MLAs of the allies would be held on March 28. Shivpal Singh Yadav is the National President of Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party and has been elected MLA on SP ticket.
