Work done with Shyama Prasad Makherji and Deen Dayal Upadhyay- Bhulai Bhai had joined the Jana Sangh in the year 1950 on the day of Vijayadashami. During this time he also worked with strong leaders like Syama Prasad Mookerjee and Deendayal Upadhyay. After the formation of BJP, Bhulai Bhai became its worker.
Became MLA from Naurangiya- Bhulai Bhai became an MLA by winning the assembly elections from Naurangiya in Deoria (currently Khadda in Kushinagar). He entered politics after being influenced by Deen Dayal Upadhyay. When Bharatiya Jana Sangh was founded, he was doing MA. Later he became an education officer.
Leaving job and stepped into politics- In the year 1974, Bhulai Bhai left his job and decided to do something for the country and society by stepping into politics. In the same year, the Bharatiya Jana Sangh gave him a ticket from the Naurangiya assembly constituency, in which he won. In 1977, he was elected MLA for the second time. Bhulai Bhai’s identity is his saffron gamchha.
