There are also three SP MLAs in his support, due to which the fight is being considered as a thorn in the front.
In the assembly elections, the wife of former minister Gayatri Prajapati has become an MLA by defeating Dr. Sanjay Singh of BJP. A total of four candidates are in the fray in the MLC elections. Current MLC Shailendra Pratap Singh has left the SP and became the BJP candidate. There is an allegation of distributing money to voters on behalf of SP candidate Shilpi Prajapati, due to which the police have registered a case against Shilpi Prajapati, Anil and Arun.
