While investigating the BMC Standing Committee chairman Yashwant Jadhav, the Income Tax officials have made a big disclosure. Officials said that two diaries related to compounded transactions worth crores of rupees have been found from Jadhav’s house. One of these diaries mentions giving a gift of Rs 50 lakh and Rs 2 crore to ‘Matoshree’. Let us tell you that ‘Matoshree’ is the private residence of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray located in Bandra, Mumbai.
On the other hand, Yashwant Jadhav says about ‘Matoshree’ that he uses ‘Matoshree’ for his mother. When the officials questioned him about the gift given in the diary, Jadhav replied that he had given the first gift to his mother on her birthday while the second gift was given to her in memory of Gudi Padwa.
Allegations of awarding all contracts to a single contractor: Yashwant Jadhav is currently the Chairman of the BMC Standing Committee in Mumbai and his wife Yamini Jadhav is a Shiv Sena MLA from Byculla Assembly in Mumbai. The Income Tax Department in its investigation has found that several transactions have been done with the same company Newshawk Multimedia Pvt Ltd. This company belongs to a BMC contractor Vimal Aggarwal. At the same time, it has also been revealed in the investigation that Yashwant Jadhav got BMC contracts worth about 30 crores to Vimal.
