Faizal Patel, son of late Congress leader Ahmed Patel, who is considered Chanakya of Congress, has indicated to leave the Congress. He wrote in his post that I am tired of waiting. There is no incentive from the high command. I am keeping my options open. In the current situation, this attitude of his is considered as a setback for the Congress leadership, because the way many leaders have left the party recently and many have raised the bugle in protest, Faizal’s move will only worsen the situation.
However, speculations about Faizal joining the Aam Aadmi Party were doing the rounds since last year. In April 2021, he met Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. He shared the picture of the meeting on social media and wrote that a long-time wish has come true. He lives in Delhi and is a fan of Kejriwal’s work style.
According to the news of News18, Faisal is currently on a tour of 7 assembly seats in Bharuch and Narmada districts. He says that my team will make big changes after assessing the political situation. Its target is to win all 7 seats. Elections are to be held in Gujarat by the end of the year. Congress is busy preparing for the assembly elections. In such a situation, Faisal’s stand seems to put the party high command in more trouble.
Ahmed Patel passed away in November 2020. Ahmed Patel, a well-known political player, was considered a political troubleshooter of Sonia Gandhi. Whenever the Congress party or Sonia Gandhi herself was in any political crisis, Ahmed Patel used to bring the party out of difficult situations from behind the scenes. Ahmed Patel was elected Lok Sabha MP thrice, apart from this he was elected Rajya Sabha MP for 5 times.
Tired of waiting around. No encouragement from the top brass. Keeping my options open

Ahmed Patel won the Lok Sabha elections from Bharuch for the first time in 1977 at the age of 26. He continued to believe in the politics behind the scenes. His reach was from all political parties to industrial houses. There was a phase in the government of UPA 1 and 2 when even a leaf could not move without their consent.
