In the UP elections, AIMIM’s Asaduddin Owaisi and Bihar CM Nitish Kumar’s party got more votes than the number of votes polled by only two BJP MLAs. Not only this, if the votes received by the Congress are also added to this, then the total figure becomes 26 lakh votes. On the other hand only 15 BJP MLAs got more than 27 lakhs. That is, BJP is the only BJP everywhere before and after the elections.
According to a report, Congress got 21,51,234 votes, Owaisi 4, 50, 929 and JDU 97,738 votes in the election. The total votes polled by 12 BJP leaders is more than the total votes polled by the Congress party. Owaisi’s party got less votes than two BJP leaders. At the same time, the number of votes that Nitish’s party got is less than the votes received by any single BJP leader. While Congress and Owaisi were dreaming big. But their presence on the ground remained negligible.
In the 2022 election, BJP got a total of 3 crore 80 lakh 51 thousand 721 votes. Whereas 2 crore 95 lakh 43 thousand 934 votes came in SP’s account. Talking about the BSP, the number of votes it gets is also quite a lot. Mayawati’s party got a total of 1 crore 18 lakh 75 thousand 137 votes in the election. RLD, which fought with SP, got 2 lakh 63 thousand 168 votes. In these elections, Chaudhary Jayant Singh’s RLD has emerged as the fourth largest party of Uttar Pradesh.
Reports show that 11 BJP MLAs won by margin of more than 1 lakh. Among them, Sunil Kumarapar Sharma is the winner of the Sahibabad assembly seat with the most votes. He got total 3 lakh 22 thousand 882 votes. His margin of victory was 2 lakh 14 thousand 835. 11 other parties including Asaduddin Owaisi and Nitish Kumar’s party have got less votes than NOTA. Interestingly, 6 lakh 37 thousand 304 voters of Uttar Pradesh have pressed the NOTA button.
