“ISIS fighters and their families are still in detention camps and prisons across Syria,” said Colin P. Clark, Senior Associate in the National Security Program, writing for the US think-tank Foreign Policy Research Institute. This is a major security challenge. Apart from these, many terrorists have gone to other areas. Prominent among these are IS (province of Central Africa) and IS Khorasan (IS-K). These groups will now create terrorist threat in the name of Jihad in other areas.
