New Delhi. Before the start of IPL 2024, if any player or captain is being talked about the most then it is Rohit Sharma. Mumbai Indians have removed Rohit Sharma and made Hardik Pandya the captain. Rohit Sharma’s fans are not liking this. That’s why when Hardik Pandya came to his first press conference in the 17th season of IPL, most of the questions were about Rohit Sharma.
Newly appointed captain of Mumbai Indians Hardik Pandya held a press conference on Monday. Pandya was earlier the captain of Gujarat Titans. He captained the Gujarat team for two years. Gujarat Titans won the title once and finished runner-up once under the captaincy of Hardik. Seeing this success of the Indian all-rounder, Mumbai Indians have placed a bet on him in IPL.
Even star cricketer is not getting IPL ticket, Ashwin, who has taken 500 test wickets, wrote his pain on social media

Hardik Pandya said in response to a question, ‘Nothing is going to change. He (Rohit) is always there to help me. As you said, he is the captain of India… This will only help me because whatever this team has achieved, it has been achieved under his captaincy. I just want to carry forward his legacy.
On the question of whether the change of captaincy will make any difference, Hardik Pandya said, ‘I don’t think it will create any uncomfortable situation or make any difference. It is a good thing that we have played together for 10 years. My entire career has progressed under his captaincy. I know his hand is going to be on my shoulder the whole season.
IPL 2024 is starting on March 22 with the match between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Mumbai Indians’ first match in the current season of IPL will be on March 24. It is a coincidence that the first match of Mumbai Indians is going to be against Gujarat Titans, whose captaincy was earlier handled by Hardik Pandya. (Input PTI)
