Let us inform that after talking to Putin, PM Modi spoke to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday and informed him of India’s continuous support for all peace efforts and an early end to the Russia-Ukraine conflict. Prime Minister Modi also told President Zelensky during the phone conversation that India will continue to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukraine. “Had good talks with President Zelensky on strengthening India-Ukraine partnership,” Modi said in a post on ‘X’. Talked to Putin before Zelensky
Just before his talks with Ukrainian President Zelensky, Modi also spoke to Russian President Vladimir Putin over phone and congratulated him on his fifth term. The Prime Minister said that dialogue and diplomacy are the only way forward to resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict. “Spoke with President Putin and congratulated him on his re-election as President of the Russian Federation,” Modi said in a post on X. We agreed to work together to further deepen and expand the India-Russia special and privileged strategic partnership in the coming years.” According to a statement issued by the Kremlin about the talks, Putin talked about the upcoming parliamentary elections in India. In the telephone conversation, Modi and Putin reviewed progress in bilateral cooperation and exchanged views on regional and global issues, the External Affairs Ministry said in a statement.
