The company’s board will be reconstituted to accommodate Sam Altman’s return to OpenAI. That means there will be all new members in the board of OpenAI. OpenAI’s board called Sam Altman in a Zoom call and informed him about his removal from the company. OpenAI President Greg Brockman also resigned after Sam Altman was removed. After this, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella had announced that he is adding Sam Altman and Greg Brockman to his AI team. After which the news came that OpenAI is once again talking to Sam Altman to bring him back.
Meanwhile, it was also reported on Tuesday that 505 employees of OpenAI have threatened mass resignation after the departure of Sam Altman and Greg Brockman. These employees had demanded the company to dissolve the board. It is believed that seeing the possibility of loss to the company due to mass resignation of employees, OpenAI has once again decided to bring back Sam Altman as CEO. However, while firing Sam Altman from the company, OpenAI had made serious and defamatory allegations against him.
