New Delhi. Congress and BJP are at loggerheads in Parliament over Rahul Gandhi’s statements in London. Now the statement of Sam Pitroda, close to Rahul and chief of the Overseas Congress, seems to be adding fuel to the fire. Sam Pitroda said in a news channel program that it is not at all wrong to speak against India abroad. After this statement of Sam Pitroda, BJP along with Rahul Gandhi has targeted the Congress further. Now everyone’s eyes are on whether the Congress supports Pitroda’s statement, or brushes it aside by calling it his personal statement.
In the program of news channel ‘India Today’, Sam Pitroda said that whose idea is that one cannot speak against India on foreign soil? He can say whatever he wants to say, but the world belongs to everyone. Sam Pitroda repeatedly said during this time that what is the problem in this. On this statement of Pitroda, BJP spokesperson Shahzad Poonawalla has targeted Rahul Gandhi and the Congress. Shahzad tweeted the video of Pitroda’s statement and wrote that another ‘hua to hua’ issue of Rahul Gandhi’s uncle Sam Pitroda. Taking the name of Pitroda, Shahzad further wrote that Rahul Gandhi has been talking about foreign interference in India earlier also. He said the same thing during his meeting with Nicholas Burns of America. Whereas, Mani Shankar Aiyar spoke of Pakistan’s intervention.

Sam Pitroda has been in controversies before as well. On the Pulwama terror attack, he had said that it is not right to punish the whole of Pakistan for the mistake of a few people. On the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, he put the Congress in trouble by saying ‘hua to hua’. Later the ruckus increased, then Sam Pitroda said that his Hindi is weak. Sam Pitroda created a controversy in 2019 about Indians and mobile phones by saying that Monkey has got a new toy in his hand.
