new Delhi. Attacking the Modi government at the Center, the Congress said that ‘BJP’s electoral victory has become a license for inflation in this country’.
Congress Chief Spokesperson and General Secretary Randeep Surjewala, while holding a press conference on Saturday, accused the Modi government of saying that the Modi government is secular in the matter of inflation and everyone is equally burdened with inflation. He said that Prime Minister Modi and his government are not putting the burden of more or less inflation on Hindus and Muslims or any other religion, but the inflation is being increased equally in the whole country.
He said that due to increase in the prices of petrol-diesel, gas cylinders, medicines, household essentials, CNG-PNG, steel and house building items, the burden of Rs 125407 crore will increase annually on the common man.
Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala said that the prices of petrol and diesel are increasing continuously under the Modi government. It was not taken care of even on the occasion of Navratri and festivals. Inflation has been increasing continuously in the country since April 1. The prices of medicines-PNG-CNG all things have increased from April 1.
Surjewala accused the Center of taking revenge for the farmers’ agitation of the country today. The price of DAP fertilizer has been increased by Rs.150 per packet.
