After the killing of Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhat in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam and SPO Riyaz Ahmed in Pulwama, the security forces have come into action mode in the Valley. It is reported that the security forces got inputs about the hiding of two terrorists in the Berar area of Bandipora. After which the security forces cordoned off the area. One terrorist has been killed in this special operation.
According to the information received, an encounter took place between security forces and terrorists in Berar area of Bandipora. Jammu and Kashmir Police informed that one terrorist has been killed in this operation. The search is on for the rest. IGP Kashmir said, “Recently input was received about the entry of two Pakistani terrorists of Lashkar-e-Taiba terror outfit, who had recently fled from an anti-terrorist operation in Salinder forest area on May 11, were tracked down. It has been taken. They are stuck in Brar Bandipora today. Operation is going on against them.”
It is worth mentioning that on May 12, three terrorists had killed Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhat after entering the Tehsildar’s office in Budgam. Kashmir Tigers had claimed the responsibility of this attack. Kashmiri Pandits are protesting in many areas of the valley against the killing of Rahul Bhat. On the other hand, on May 13, in Pulwama, terrorists entered SPO Riyaz Ahmed in his house and rid him of bullets. He has died. It is being told that Riyaz had come home on leave.
