Tata Motors recently launched the Tata Nexon EV Max, an upgraded version of the Nexon EV already in the market. It has been given more range, power and many such features than the old Nexon EV which make it a much better SUV than before.
Large Battery: The biggest problem with EVs is their range, due to which people sometimes shy away from buying an EV. The Tata Nexon EV Max offers an ARAI certified range of 437 kms. It has a large battery pack of 40.5 kW. Which is about 10.3 kW more than the old Nexon EV.
Up to 80 percent charge in 56 minutes: Fast charging facility will be available in Tata Nexon EV Max. It has an option of 7.2 kW AC charger. Which will fully charge it in 5 to 6 hours. At the same time, if it is charged with a DC commercial charger of 50 kW, then it will be charged up to 80 percent in 56 minutes.
Power and Torque: The Tata Nexon EV Max generates a maximum power of 143 hp and torque of 250Nm. The Nexon EV Max accelerates from 0-100 in just 9 seconds. Its top speed is 240 kilometers per hour.
Launched two variantsThere are total two variants available in the market: Tata Nexon EV Max. The starting variant of the Nexon EV Max XZ+ with 3.3kW charger is priced at Rs.17.74 lakhs while with 7.2kWh charger it costs Rs.18.24 lakhs. The above variant Nexon EV Max XZ+ Lux with 3.2 kW charger is priced at Rs 18.74 lakh while with 7.2 kW charger it is priced at Rs 19.24 lakh.
Tata Nexon EV Max is facing tough competition from MG Motors’ ZS EV in the market. The MG ZS EV starts at Rs 22 lakh and the company claims that it can travel up to 461 km on a single charge.
