Australian superstar Shane Warne will be sent off with state honours. He will farewell on 30 March at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Victoria’s government has told that the general public will be able to attend Warne’s funeral. According to media reports, more than one lakh people can attend his funeral. Many decisions are still to be taken regarding his funeral. The legendary leg-spinner of Australia passed away at the age of 52. He was in his bungalow in Thailand when he suffered a heart attack, due to which he died.
Warne’s autopsy revealed that his death was normal and he died of a heart attack. Blood stains were found in Warne’s room and his towels. In this case, Thailand Police has said that blood came out of his mouth because of giving him CPR. The same blood stains have been found in the room and towels.
Warne became an inspiration for a generation
Giving information about Shane Warne’s funeral, the government of Victoria said that he inspired a generation. His last rites will take place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. All tickets will be available to the general public. Many things are yet to be decided regarding his funeral. After the death of Shane Warne, many veteran players including the Australian Prime Minister paid tribute to him. Apart from this, big personalities of music and cinema also mourned the death of Warne.
First bowler to take 1000 wickets
Shane Warne was the first bowler to take more than a thousand wickets in international cricket. He has 708 wickets in Tests and 293 wickets in ODIs. He is the second highest wicket taker in Test cricket. Only Muttiah Muralitharan of Sri Lanka has taken more wickets than him.
