Friendship Cup was organized in United Arab Emirates (UAE). Teams from India Legends, World Legends, Pakistan Legends and Bollywood Kings took part in this tournament which lasted for three days. India Legends was captained by former India legend Mohammad Azharuddin. Pakistan Legends captured the title by defeating World Legends in the final match. Before that, in the last league match, India Legends faced Pakistan Legends. In this match, Azharuddin batted with son Mohammad Asaduddin.
The father-son duo shared a 19-run partnership. Azharuddin shared a video of him batting with his son on Instagram. Azharuddin, 59, bats with his son against Pakistan Legends in Sharjah. In the Friendship Cup, Asad batted brilliantly and played some good innings.
India Legends had to face defeat against Pakistan Legends. Batting first, India Legends under the captaincy of Azharuddin scored 107 runs for three wickets in the allotted 10 overs. Asaduddin played a stormy innings of 45 runs off 22 balls. He was the highest run scorer for the team. Sanjeev Sharma scored 37 runs after him. At the same time, captain Azharuddin scored four not out.
Salman Butt scored the most runs for Pakistan Legends. He played an unbeaten innings of 65 runs in 30 balls. With the help of his half-century, Pakistan Legends achieved the target in 9.1 overs. They won the match by eight wickets. After this Pakistan Legends defeated World Legends in the final.
