New Delhi . Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi is likely to hold a meeting with senior leaders on Monday on the role of political strategist Prashant Kishor (PK) in the party. The committee constituted by Sonia Gandhi to discuss the issue submitted its report last week.
Congress wants Prashant Kishor to end all his promises made to other parties and work only as a Congressman and not as an advisor. The final decision can be taken after talks with Rahul Gandhi.
Some party leaders, who have submitted their reports, say that there is no harm in Prashant Kishor joining the party, but wherever the party stands against regional forces, there should be no struggle.
Meanwhile, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) on Sunday signed an agreement with the Indian Political Action Committee (I-PAC), set up by election strategist Kishor.
During an interaction with reporters, TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao confirmed that his party is working with I-PAC, but claimed that it has nothing to do with Prashant Kishor. I don’t know who is driving it. PK told us about the i-pack and it is working with us.
He said that PK has distanced itself from I-PAC, which is working with several parties across the country. We didn’t just talk to PK. We had many discussions with many other people. We spoke to Sunil and others about the I-Pack.
