The problems of villagers increasing due to arbitrary electricity bills: Arbitrary bills being sent by the electricity department in many villages of Janpad Panchayat Karli area have disturbed the villagers. There are many such people, who have one or two bulbs installed in their homes, but they are also being given bills of Rs. 10 thousand each. The people of Podi village of gram panchayat Patpara told that they are not even being given a copy of the electricity bill for the last one year. Whereas the officers of the department come and say that you owe so many thousand rupees. If the money is not given, it will be recovered after attachment. Many citizens say that no one ever comes to their homes to take readings, but the bill comes every month. In this village, there is a poor helpless elderly consumer, who has only single light connection in his house, to whom a bill of Rs 10,000 has been sent by the Electricity Department. The people of the area are very upset due to the arbitrariness of the department. They are wandering from here to there with their complaints, but they are not being heard anywhere. The officers, far from giving any kind of attention, humiliate them and drive them away from the office. The villagers have demanded the collector to take action in this regard and get justice.
