Supreme Court Hearing on Board Exam, The top court of the country will hear today the petition to cancel the online examination of class X and XII. A bench of Supreme Court Justice AM Khanwilkar will hear the matter. This petition has been put up by Anubha Sahay Srivastava and has argued that due to the corona epidemic, physical classes have not been held, so the board examination should be online. The petitioner has also sought a direction to all the boards to declare the results on time and give the option of improvement examination due to the various challenges being faced.
Let us tell you that before this, on 23 February, on a public interest litigation seeking a ban on the traditional offline conduct of board examinations of class 10 and class 12 for the year 2021-22 of examination boards of many states including central boards like CBSE, CISCE, NIOS. Orders were given to be listed for hearing in the Supreme Court on 2021. At the same time, a division bench headed by Chief Justice NV Ramanna had ordered to present the matter for hearing before the division bench headed by Justice AM Khanwilkar on 21 February 2022. The orders were placed on 21 February 2022.
The eyes of students across the country on the decision of the Supreme Court
The eyes of all the examinees of the country are fixed on the hearing to be held today. The petition, filed by students from 15 states across the country through Advocate Anubha Sahay Srivastava, has sought a direction by the Supreme Court to the Central Boards as well as the State Boards of Examinations to conduct the Class 10th and 12th examinations. The event should not be conducted in offline mode.
Demand of students, studies online and exams also online
In the petition, the students of class X and XII have said that we studied in online mode throughout the year and therefore the examination should also be conducted in online mode. Also, while conducting the examinations in online mode, the results should be announced in time.
