Dewas (Representative of New Zealand). Under Bharat Mukt TB, work is going on in the direction of making the district TB free. Teams are engaged in the survey in the blocks. In each block, a team of two health workers, after going door-to-door surveying people, is doing sampling for TB test if needed. The Health Department has applied for the Bronze Medal. Based on which it has been claimed to reduce 20 percent TB cases in the district in five years. The survey has been started in the district eight days ago. The teams have so far surveyed 5 thousand 96 houses. In which 16 thousand people have been interviewed. During the survey, the dreaded test of 251 people was done. There are three TB patients. In which one patient is old. Accordingly, only two TB patients have been found during the survey so far. District Health Officer Shivendra Mishra said that 15 teams have been surveying the district for eight days. A survey team of 600 to 700 people is done every day. The planning of the survey is now till March 10. However, according to the survey criteria, the survey may end even earlier.
The team cross checked the data of five years
District Tuberculosis Officer Mishra said that we have claimed for the bronze medal. Mishra told that there are different categories for the National Certificate. Before the survey, the team had inspected the district. In which he checked all the data related to TB for six years i.e. from 2015 to 2021. Other documents including reports were also cross checked. After the survey, ICMR and other teams will come to the district to inspect.

Bronze medal is given if 20 percent TB cases are reduced in five years.
If 40 percent of the cases are less then the category of silver medal is called
-80% TB cases can be claimed for reduced gold.

Our team is engaged in the survey regarding TB in the district. A few days ago, the team from Bhopal inspected the district and discussed with the staff. Staff was trained. Better work is being done in the district regarding TB. We hope that we will have better result.
