Deoband. The issue of survey of unrecognized madrasas in UP seems to be heating up. Asaduddin Owaisi, All India Muslim Personal Law Board AIMPLB and Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind Jamiyat Ulema e Hind had already objected to this survey. Now a big conference is going to be held today in protest against the survey of madrasas in the largest Islamic educational institution of North India. The heads of madrasas and ulema will attend this conference and decide the next course of action against the survey. The conference will be held at the famous Masjid Rashidiya. For this, the Ulema has been reaching here since Saturday. Let us inform that UP CM Yogi Adityanath had ordered a survey of unrecognized madrassas. After which this work is going on since 10 September.
More than 250 madrassa operators affiliated to the institute will participate in this conference to be held in Darul Uloom Deoband today. All eyes are on what is decided against the survey in the conference. Earlier, when voices were raised against the survey, it was said on behalf of the UP government that it is for the betterment of madrassas. UP Minister Danish Ansari had told the media that after the survey, work would be done to give recognition to unrecognized madrassas, to provide better facilities to their students and teachers. He had rubbished these allegations that now the BJP government of UP wants to harass Muslims by conducting a survey of madrassas.
When CM Yogi took the decision of the survey, soon after that Asaduddin Owaisi called it an attempt to oppress Muslims. Owaisi made several statements in this matter and opposed the survey. At the same time, the Personal Law Board and Jamiat also gave a statement against the survey. Jamiat had also said that it would keep an eye on the survey and would oppose it if needed.
