Suzuki India has launched its super heavy bike Katana in the domestic market of India. The company recently released a teaser of this bike. Suzuki Katana has been launched by the company with a starting price of Rs 13.16 lakh, which is set to compete with the existing Kawasaki Ninja 1000X, BMW F900 in India.
In Suzuki Katana, the company has given 999 cc in-line four engine. This engine generates power of 148 bhp and peak torque of 106 Nm. A 6 speed gearbox has been given with this engine.
The bike is fitted with an advanced electronic control system in which the rider gets features like traction control, drive mode selector, ride by wire electronic throttle. The traction control that the company has installed in Suzuki Katana gives the rider five different riding modes.
Talking about the features, the company has given LCD display, LED head light, LED tail light, LED turn signal lamp, Suzuki Intelligent Rider System in this bike.
In the braking system of the bike, the company has installed disc brake in both its front and rear wheels, with which dual channel anti-lock braking system has been given.
The three different throttle maps that the company has given in the Suzuki Katana, in which the first is Activity, second Basic and third is Comfort. Talking about the suspension system, the company has installed fully adjustable inverted telescopic forks at the front and link type coil spring shocker system at the rear.
Suzuki Motorcycles has launched this Suzuki Katana in two attractive colors, one being Metallic Mystic Silver and the second one being Metallic Stellar Blue.
